Store maintenance with one number to call, in every state.
Reactive call outs, make safe, planned preventative maintenance and general repairs across the store fleet, through one accountable team.
Facilities maintenance for a retail fleet covers reactive call outs when something breaks, make safe work, and planned preventative maintenance so it breaks less often. Nextage provides both across Australian store fleets through one accountable team, using licensed trade partners where the work requires a licence, with photo close out on every job.
The problem
- Every state has a different list of trades and nobody knows who to call on a Sunday.
- Repairs are closed out with a phone call, so there is no record of what was done or what it cost.
- The same fault keeps coming back because nobody is looking across the fleet.
What's included
- Reactive call outs and make safe, logged from report to close out
- Planned preventative maintenance schedules per store
- General repairs: doors, roller doors, fixtures, fittings, ceilings and minor building works
- Licensed partners for electrical, plumbing and other licensed trades
- Induction ready crews on client contractor platforms
- Photo close out on every job, and a running history per store
Public liability insurance: $20 million.
Program shape
How the work runs
Same order every time. The order is what makes site 40 match site 1.
Agree the scope
Which stores, which assets, and which work is reactive or planned.
Set the path
One place to report a fault, and who attends in each state.
Plan the preventative work
A schedule per store, so faults are found before customers find them.
Attend and close out
Make safe first, fix, photograph, and record it.
Look across the fleet
Repeat faults are flagged, so the fix becomes a program instead of a call out.
A good fit
- Retail groups with stores in more than one state
- Teams tired of managing a different trade list in every region
- Fleets where the same faults keep coming back
Not a fit
- Base building services the landlord already maintains
- Cleaning and security contracts
- A single store with its own local trades already sorted
Photos
Planned servicing and one off fixes
Rooftop air conditioning serviced on its schedule, and a back of house roller door with graffiti removed and repainted. Every job is logged against the store, so a fault that keeps coming back shows up across the fleet.

FAQ
About reactive & preventative maintenance
What is the difference between reactive and preventative maintenance?
Reactive maintenance fixes something after it fails. Preventative maintenance is scheduled work that checks and services assets before they fail. Most fleets need both, and a record of the reactive jobs shows where preventative work would pay.
Do you publish response times?
No. Response times are agreed in the contract for your stores and your states, not promised on a website.
Who does licensed work such as electrical and plumbing?
Licensed trade partners. Nextage manages the job from report to close out, and the licensed work is carried out by people who hold the licence for it.
