These direct to boot bays had a hard yellow plastic ramp at the kerb that was not compliant. We replaced it with a black ramp with yellow edges, bolted to the kerb so a trolley rolls straight across.

About threshold and access ramps
What is a kerb ramp program?
Every kerb, threshold and step ramp across a store fleet measured, made to one standard and fitted, with a photo report per site. The Rubber kerb and threshold ramps page covers the ramp itself.
Which ramp do you fit?
Ramp and Rails, a recycled rubber ramp made to each measured opening, with yellow side kerbing, a P5 wet slip rating and a seven year warranty. The product page sets out the full specification.
How high can a threshold ramp be?
Under AS 1428.1:2021 a threshold ramp rises no more than 35 mm, over no more than 280 mm, at a gradient no steeper than 1:8. A bigger rise is a step ramp: up to 190 mm over 1900 mm at 1:10. Whether a given doorway has to comply is the building certifier's call.
What gradient does a kerb ramp need?
No steeper than 1:8, for a rise of up to 190 mm over 1520 mm. That is why a kerb at a pickup bay is measured before a ramp is made for it.
Can we start with one store?
Yes. Most ramp programs prove the pack on a pilot door, then call off further sites against the same standard.
Can a vehicle drive over the ramp?
Yes. Ramp and Rails ramps are made for trolleys and light vehicles. The load for each opening is confirmed when the door or kerb is measured.
How is a ramp program priced?
Per site, after each door is measured, so finance can stage the rollout against the capital cycle instead of approving one lump sum.
What do we get at handover?
A photo completion report per site, before and after, so the budget owner has evidence without visiting.
