Nextage supplies and installs wheel stops in retail car parks across Australia: new stops where bays have none, and replacements for stops that are broken, loose or in the wrong place. Our standard is a 1650 mm recycled rubber stop, 100 mm high with reflective chevrons, set back to the AS/NZS 2890.1 distance of 620 mm from a kerb 150 mm or lower for front in parking, so a car stops before its overhang reaches the footpath or the building.

AS/NZS 2890.1 measures from the front of the bay to the face the tyre touches.
Front in, low kerb
620 mm where the kerb is 150 mm high or lower.
Front in, high kerb or wall
820 mm where the kerb is over 150 mm, or the bay faces a wall.
Rear in, low kerb
900 mm, because a car's rear overhang is longer.
Rear in, high kerb or wall
1100 mm.
Replacements
Existing stops at the wrong distance are moved when they are replaced.

FAQ
About wheel stops
Rubber or concrete wheel stops?
Recycled rubber is our standard: reflective chevrons moulded in, three fixing points, and it does not chip or crack like concrete. Concrete stops are available where a site already uses them and wants them to match.
How far from the kerb does a wheel stop go?
For front in parking at a kerb 150 mm or lower, AS/NZS 2890.1 puts the face the tyre touches 620 mm from the front of the bay. At a higher kerb or a wall it is 820 mm.
Is it different for rear in parking?
Yes. A car's rear overhang is longer, so the setback is 900 mm, or 1100 mm at a higher kerb or a wall.
How high are they?
Our standard rubber stop is 100 mm high, the top of the 90 to 100 mm range AS/NZS 2890.1 sets.
What lengths are there?
1650 mm is standard for a car bay. We also fit 2000 mm, 900 mm and 550 mm stops, plastic stops, accessible bay stops and truck stops.
Do you replace old wheel stops?
Yes. Broken, loose or misplaced stops are lifted and replaced, and moved to the right distance while we are there.
Can we start with one car park?
Yes. One car park is enough. The same stop and setbacks can then go in at your other sites.
