Nextage supplies and installs bollards across Australia along shopfront glass, entries, pickup bays and walkways, where a car nosing into a bay could reach the building or the people beside it. Bollards we fit
The standard post suits most shopfronts. Where it does not, the site walk sets the bollard that does.
Inground
Core drilled and set into the ground. Our standard 90 mm post goes in this way.
Surface mounted
Base plated and bolted down, where the slab or the services under it rule out drilling.
Removable
Lift out posts where a route has to open for deliveries or maintenance.
Larger diameters
114, 140, 165 and 220 mm posts where bigger vehicles move close to the building. Sizes below.
Heights
Set to the site, where the standard 900 mm above ground does not suit.
Finishes
Safety yellow powder coat as standard, galvanised, stainless steel or other colours.
Reflective bands
Reflective bands near the top, so the bollard shows up in headlights.
Flexible bollards
Polyurethane or plastic posts 450 to 900 mm high that bend and rebound, for guiding traffic rather than stopping it.
Shock absorbing
90 mm and 140 mm steel posts on a surface mount base with an internal shock absorbing mechanism.
Fold down
Spring loaded posts that fold flat for access and stand back up.
Key and padlock sleeves
Removable 90 mm posts in a keylock or padlock sleeve, so a route can be opened and locked again.
Spacing
At least 1000 mm clear where a line crosses an accessible path, the minimum path width AS 1428.1 sets.

About our bollards
Steel or flexible bollards?
Steel bollards protect: they are there to stop a car reaching glass, a door or people. Flexible bollards guide: they mark a lane or a keep clear area and bend back when a car hits them. Most shopfronts need steel; most lane marking needs flexible.
What sizes do you supply?
90 mm as standard, plus 114, 140, 165 and 220 mm, and other sizes to order. Every size can be set in the ground or bolted down, and heights and finishes are set for the site.
How tall is the standard bollard?
It is 1200 mm long. 900 mm stands above the ground and 300 mm is set into it.
What is the standard bollard made of?
Galvanised steel with a 3.5 mm wall and a 90 mm outside diameter, powder coated safety yellow with a reflective red band at the top. Each one weighs 12 kg.
Can bollards be surface mounted?
Yes. Where the slab or the services under it rule out drilling, the bollard is base plated and bolted down instead.
Will a bollard stop a ram raid?
Not these. They are vehicle impact protection against an accidental hit, such as a car rolling forward out of a bay. Stopping a deliberate ram raid needs a bollard crash tested to IWA 14, PAS 68 or ASTM F2656, which is different work.
How far apart do they go?
Close enough to stop a car, and at least 1000 mm clear wherever the line crosses an accessible path, the minimum width AS 1428.1 sets. The spacing is fixed on the site walk.
What warranty comes with them?
Two years on the standard bollard. Other bollards carry the warranty named in the quote.
Can we start with one store?
Yes. One line at one store is enough. The same bollard can then go in at your other stores.
