Nextage supplies and installs speed humps in retail car parks across Australia, in any length, across entry lanes, aisles and pedestrian crossings. Our standard rubber hump is built from 350 mm sections, 50 mm high and 250 mm wide, with rounded end caps, and is rated to 30 tonnes. Heavy duty steel humps, speed cushions and rumble strips cover the sites rubber does not suit, and a W5-10 hump warning sign goes up where a hump is hard to see.

About speed humps
Speed hump or speed bump?
The same thing in a car park. AS/NZS 2890.1 calls them speed humps: a Type 2 hump for confined and multi storey car parks is 25 to 75 mm high with a 100 to 150 mm flat top. Our standard rubber hump is 50 mm high.
What lengths do you fit?
Any length. Rubber humps are built from 350 mm sections, four to the metre, with end caps at each end, so the hump is made to the width of the lane. 3 m and 6 m are the most common.
What if trucks cross the hump?
Then a heavy duty steel hump, made from 5 mm steel in 1 m sections and rated to 50 tonnes, suits better than rubber.
How high are they?
Under AS/NZS 2890.1 a Type 2 hump, used in confined and multi storey car parks, is 25 to 75 mm high with a flat top 100 to 150 mm wide. A Type 1 hump for large outdoor car parks is up to 75 mm.
Do they need a sign?
A W5-10 hump warning sign goes up where the hump would not otherwise be easy to see. We fit the signs with the humps.
How are they fixed?
They are bolted to the car park surface.
Can we start with one car park?
Yes. One car park is enough. The same humps can then go in at your other sites.
