Nextage supplies and fits Aerofoil shelf edge blades across Australia as an authorised Aerofoil Energy partner. An Aerofoil is a patented aluminium blade that clips to the front edge of each shelf in an open refrigerated cabinet, in place of the ticket strip, and keeps the cold air curtain on the case instead of spilling into the aisle. It needs no power and has no moving parts, and on our monitored Australian sites it cut daily refrigeration energy by about 20 per cent.

About Aerofoil blades
What is an Aerofoil?
A patented aluminium blade that clips to the front edge of each shelf in an open fridge, in place of the ticket strip. It keeps the curtain of cold air on the case instead of letting it spill into the aisle, with no power and no moving parts.
How much energy does it save?
On our monitored Australian sites, about 20 per cent of daily refrigeration energy over a full year. Aerofoil Energy publish 25 to 38 per cent cabinet energy on their own installations. The result depends on the case, its setpoint and the store.
Do you have to clear the shelves to fit them?
No. The blades clip onto the shelf fronts with the stock in place, so the case keeps trading.
Will our price labels still fit?
Yes. Aerofoils carry paper price labels on the blade, and Digifoils carry electronic shelf labels.
Is it cheaper than fitting doors?
On our own pricing, fitting Aerofoils costs about a third of putting doors on the same cabinets, with no hinges or seals to maintain afterwards.
